FLORIDA REAL ESTATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

All applicants must be at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma or GED and fulfill the following:

 

Real Estate Associate:

1. Successfully complete a FREC approved pre-licensing course for sales associate consisting of 63 classroom-hours and covering topics required by FREC.
2. Submit a completed Application, fingerprint card, and appropriate fee.
(you may submit this package prior to completing step #1)
3. Pass the Florida Real Estate Sales Associate examination with a grade of at least 75



Real Estate Broker:

1. Successfully complete a FREC approved pre-licensing course for brokers consisting of 72 classroom hours and covering topics required by FREC.
2. Submit a completed application, fingerprint card, and appropriate fee. (you may submit this package prior to completing step #1)
3. Pass the Florida Real Estate Broker Examination with a grade of at least 75.
4. Hold an active real estate sales associate license and complete 12 months real estate experience during the preceeding 5 years.
