florida real estate license requirements

all applicants must be at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, have a social security number and meet the qualifications of chapter 475.15 florida statutes. below are additional requirements to obtain your license:

 

real estate associate:

1. successfully complete a frec approved 63-hour pre-licensing course for sales associate covering topics required by frec. online course is permissible.
2. submit a completed application, electronic fingerprints record, and fee of $89 payable to dbpr-division of real estate. see below for fingerprint fee.
(you may submit this package prior to completing step #1)
3. pass the florida real estate sales associate examination with a grade of at least 75



real estate broker:

1. successfully complete a frec approved 72-hour pre-licensing course for brokers. online course is permissible.
2. submit a completed application, electronic fingerprints record, and fee of $97 payable to dbpr-division of real estate. (you may submit this package prior to completing step #1)
3. pass the florida real estate broker examination with a grade of at least 75.
4. hold an active real estate sales associate license and complete 24 months real estate experience during the preceeding 5 years.
